Library Wine List

The library wine list at CrossKeys vineyards had not been updated in a few years, and looked a bit outdated. The ask was to not only update the list with the current wines available, but also make it look more modern to match the feel of the rest of the vineyard.

After the draft was submitted, the following list of edits were made:

  • Write out the word “MENU”

  • Remove the 2020 and 2021 vintages

  • Write a 2018 year description that would flow and sound similar to the other year descriptions.

    • “A great example of CrossKey’s resiliency. The growing season and harvest were ones that would not be remembered fondly in Virginia. Frequent heavy rains throughout, from several hurricanes and tornadoes, brought flooding and wind damage. The wet conditions continued through September and the harvest months, causing varieties that reached maturity more rapidly, to fair better than the late-season varieties. Despite the challenging year, adaptation was the key to success. Shorter time in the tanks paired with reduced amounts of oak in the barrels, made well balanced wines with lighter bodies, exceeding exceptions for the 2018 season.”
